The
Rolling Pen began as a seemingly good idea during a bad
economy. In the spring of 2010, we decided that we would
try our luck on the other side of the table at our local
farmers’ market and become vendors.
We
took lots of bread, nut-free granola, biscotti, and one
kind of cookie. It wasn’t long before The Rolling
Pen market stand became a place where the love of good food
and the stories that go with it came together. We found
that the staples of a good story parallel the staples of
a good meal.
For
us, simplicity, whole ingredients and organic integrity
belong in both. Never do we use “fake” food
or chemical additives that our own Grandmother wouldn’t
recognize. This way we believe that the story of a meal
works better for everyone.
